Volunteer at The Argyle
Volunteers are an integral part of our community. They make happiness come to life for residents, and everyone looks forward to their contributions and camaraderie. We have several different volunteer opportunities available based on your time and talents, and no matter how you contribute, you can smile knowing you’re helping a longtime Denver non-profit prosper.
- Senior Companion
The Argyle’s residents are full of stories, and they love sharing them with visitors. As a senior companion, we’ll match you with a resident for one-on-one visits. You can enjoy informal social visits together as you share your favorite activities, help with letter writing, take a relaxing walk, read a book, or simply settle into a great conversation. A bi-monthly commitment is required.
- Activity Group Leader
We, along with the residents, love it when volunteers organize group activities. Popular activities include cards, games, ice cream socials, Bible studies, music programs, arts and crafts, and cooking classes. Programs can take place during the day, evening, or on weekends, and we ask for a monthly commitment.
- Bingo Coordinator
When you step up to the plate for this important position, you’ll be in charge of running weekly bingo games, including set-up, play time, and clean up. This can be either a weekly or bi-monthly commitment, and good times are guaranteed.
- Activity Aides
We plan a variety of activities for residents each month and assistance is always welcome. Join The Argyle’s Activity Department as an aide, and you’ll help schedule group activities, chaperone on bus outings, or help out with special events such as birthdays, holiday parties, and family barbeques.
- Pet Visitor
If you have a friendly, well-behaved pet who would love some extra attention, our residents would love to meet your furry companion. Appropriate vaccinations are required, and this is a monthly commitment.
